• Prepare and maintain detailed accounting records, including AR, AP, and Payroll • Review contracts and work with project managers to ensure all billable items are included in invoices • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distributing cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the AR sub-ledger • Maintain and update accounting files, including customer and banking paperwork • Research and resolve account discrepancies • Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process and prepare related financial reports, including budget to actual comparisons, AR aging, cash receipts, & credit analysis • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures • Prepare financial analyses • Assist in developing and implementing improvements to financial processes • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting • Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making • Assist in streamlining the accounting processes by identifying areas for performance improvement, automation and integration between systems • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with regulations • Assist in developing pricing models and creating innovative strategies for cost reduction • Analyze and establish policies and procedures to improve our cost structure and budgets
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Strong analytical, research, time management, and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team • Ability to keep confidence • Experience in driving process improvement • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
