• Provides effective legal representation involving moderately complex litigation. • Handle litigation within established corporate guidelines. • Communicate with clients regarding file status and progress. • Analyze files as litigation progresses and evaluate cases for settlement. • Draft necessary pleadings, papers and briefs for litigation activities. • Advocate client position in various forums and circumstances. • Negotiate effectively in resolution of issues. • Stay current on state statutes and court decisions affecting policy provisions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service. • Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions and discovery and deposing witnesses. • Demonstrated litigation experience. • Solid knowledge and understanding of rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they practice. • Solid knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law. • Admission to the Missouri State Bar required. • Additional admission to Illinois Bar preferred. • Juris Doctor.
