• The CDC Foundation helps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention save and improve lives by mobilizing philanthropic partners and private-sector resources. • The Associate Director for Data Workforce Deployment is responsible for ensuring the technical proficiency and productivity of project-funded staff and reporting on project progress. • Remote candidates will be considered, however, Atlanta-based applicants are preferred.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Business, or Health Administration from an accredited college or university with a background in public health leadership required. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience required with at least 5 years experience in personnel management. • Experience leading and managing large, geographically dispersed teams (80+ employees and/or contractors) in a hybrid work environment with emphasis on employee relations, engagement and performance management. • Professional experience in public health in a program management role or, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership. Philanthropic, nonprofit or government and/or public health leadership preferred. • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems and software packages used to manage day-to-day business activities such as program management and budgeting. • Ability to make decisions that accomplish project/program goals and objectives. • Skills in project management, budget formulation, management and forecasting, federal compliance, cross-cultural awareness, communication, and creative problem-solving. • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from initiation through to close-out. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing, writing, and editing reports associated with federal grants/contracts. • Strong technical skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management. • Ability to represent the CDC Foundation and its partners during negotiations concerning project planning, implementation and evaluation. • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial, energetic, and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues, donors and partners. • Sound judgment and maturity, exemplified by consistent professionalism in dealing with individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
