We’re a small start-up turned global leader in the marine software space, now serving many of the world’s largest maritime companies worldwide. • Our team believes in a culture of delivery, focused on creating success for our customers and employees, and we’re always looking for talented people who want to make an impact and have fun doing it. • We’re proud to have built a company with global reach while still staying true to our small company roots and values. • Make your impact with a rapidly growing Marine Software business! • We’re looking for a new team member to join us as a Business Intelligence Analyst to continue the incredible growth of our embedded analytics product. • As our BI Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to architect your own database schema, translate the data into visualizations using our embedded platform and deliver excellent value to our customers. • This opportunity is ideal for an individual who can work independently, has a great positive attitude and an aptitude to learn. • This role is open to Remote candidates in India, and will report to the team lead of Professional Services team. • You will ultimately be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of data analytics and reporting solutions. • This will involve: Creating and managing database connections to a PostgreSQL database • Creating views, tables and ETL definitions • Mering, transforming and building visualizations in an embedded platform • You will work closely with a cross functional team of developers, product managers, executive members and various departments within Helm to understand their data and reporting needs and use this knowledge to help design and develop solutions. • You will assist with the creation and maintenance of data models and data connections to support analytics and reporting. • You will be responsible for ensuring data quality and accuracy in all analytics and reports. • You will provide documentation and support to internal users on the use of the analytics and reporting solutions. • You will monitor and troubleshoot system performance while taking appropriate action to resolve issues. • You will stay apprised of new developments and updates in the field of Business Intelligence and make recommendations for process improvements as necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics) or Business • 2+ years experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence/analytics delivery capacity • Strong knowledge of SQL or other database query language is required • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Sisense, Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView
