• Provide strategic legal guidance to ensure compliance with USAID, federal, and international statutes and regulations governing PSCs. • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis, developing accurate interpretations of laws, policies, and procedures impacting PSCs. • Draft briefs, opinions, and recommendations on complex legal matters and update stakeholders on pertinent changes in law or policy. • Conducting reviews and assessments of compliance with requirements. • Provide legal training and briefings on relevant regulatory and compliance topics, promoting awareness and adherence to legal standards within the team.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent; licensed to practice law. • Minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, with 5 years in a role focusing on foreign assistance or government contracting. • Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively. • In-depth understanding of statutes, regulations, and policies related to PSCs, including federal employment and tort claims laws. • Experience and expertise in interpreting and applying relevant statutes, regulations, and policies related to PSCs in the context of foreign assistance. • Must possess strong analytical, communication, and reasoning skills. • Previously worked as a contractor or direct hire at USAID. • Experience hiring, managing or working with PSCs. • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, Microsoft Office 365.
