• Responsible for the daily maintenance of escrow activities, including funds management (incoming and outgoing), resolution of account discrepancies as well as account reconciliations. • Provide excellent customer service by proactively managing issue resolution and account discrepancies by collaborating with the accounting team, the agent finance team as well as customers and agents. • Maintain daily reconciliation of funds received in escrow (for closed real estate transactions). • Maintain daily bank reconciliations as well as escrow account reconciliations. • Collaborate with the accounting team on the account reconciliations as well as the monthly analytics. • Create and distribute accurate internal reports. • Assist with maintaining a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over escrow activities. • Ensure proper controls are operating effectively and collaborate with the accounting team on improvements. • Drive process improvement and re-engineer escrow procedures toward a standard solution across markets. • Support with the annual financial audit and compliance audit requirements. • Perform special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, Management, or other related fields. • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience. • Knowledge of real estate, a plus. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a plus. • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with cross functional teams, agents, clients and third-party providers. • Strong analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills. • Strong attention to details and project management skills. • Ability to multi-task and handle several deadlines simultaneously. • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Strong dispute resolution and mediation skills to handle issue escalation and resolution. • Excellent customer service and ability to work in a team environment. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • High proficiency in Excel. • Experience with NetSuite, a plus.
