• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to support our web and mobile applications. • Optimize database queries for performance and scalability. • Develop and manage database schema, ensuring data integrity and security. • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate database solutions with application logic. • Create and maintain documentation for database processes, schemas, and procedures. • Perform regular database maintenance, including backups and recovery processes. • Identify and resolve database issues, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks. • Ensure high availability and data redundancy for critical systems. • Work with DevOps to manage database hosting and deployment.

Requirements

• Must have completed or be enrolled in an accredited degree program (BS/MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field at an academic institution in the United States. • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, Database Developer, or similar role. • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. • Familiarity with database security best practices and data encryption. • Experience with database management tools (e.g., pgAdmin) and command-line utilities. • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). • Ability to work with large datasets and complex queries. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
