Description

• The IT Support Officer provides technical support to the internal organisation. • You are responsible for setting up, troubleshooting and escalating any issues that come up with soft- and hardware within the organisation. • Your main tasks will be: You install and configure laptops and other hardware that is used in the organisation. • You make sure the required updates are available and advise on and support with installation. • You give employees access to accounts that are relevant to them and remove their access when they leave the organisation. • You help employees to resolve technical issues by providing phone and long-distance support. • You escalate issues you cannot resolve, and you are the point of contact with supplier support. • You keep logs of support questions and how they are resolved. • You maintain the stocks of hardware in the organisation, keeping the balance between availability and cost. • You are responsible for the software licenses the organisation has and work with the procurement department to make sure we buy high quality against competitive prices. • You keep a full overview of IT assets and licenses in the organisation.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience working within an IT Support team. • Proficient in setting standards for hardware requirements, maintenance, and replacement of assets. • Knowledgeable in Google Workspace (Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification is a plus). • Skilled in using remote monitoring administration tools (e.g., NinjaOne, Pulseway). • Strong experience in NetSuite administration (mandatory). • You are currently currently based in South Africa (mandatory).
