A day in the life •The BI Engineer will be in charge of building a high performing analytics products relying on the native Azure Tech stack, CRM systems like SSMS, SSIS for ETL, SSAS, Databricks, Power Bi, Synapse analytics, Python. •The role will focus on performance optimization and data governance. •The BIE will drive the development of reporting and analytics across the global portfolio of businesses and processes; and produce data, reports and analyses for decision making, metrics management and more. •The role will be savvy at the use of BI tools like Power Bi, Synapse analytics and Databricks architect and build the pipeline towards it. •The BIE will optimise user experience by creating excellent visualisation performance.
Key job responsibilities •Build scalable analytics solutions leveraging the defined tech stack •Optimize and organize data pipelines into the visualization environment •Collaborate with business users on requirements, objectives and measures •Access large scale data and use analytical tools •Provide input and recommendations on technical issues to data engineering and software engineering teams •Contribute to data design, data modelling and data extracts/transforms •Work in a genuinely global environment, across various functional teams •Own the governance of global areas of data and metrics •Build and manage Tableau workbooks Basic Qualifications •6+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with SQL Database, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience •Should be Hihgly proficient with Writing Complex queries in SQL •Experience in SSRS and Power BI Report Builder. •Good skills in databases (SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / DB2) and expertise in writing SQL queries. •Experience working with high volume databases and MPPs. •Experience with the preparation of data (e.g., data profiling, data cleansing, volume assessment and partitioning, etc.). •Working knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Shell, Python is desirable. •Hands-on Data engineering knowledge and working of ETL tools like Databricks, SSIS etc. •Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools •Experience of working in BI platform migration project(s) Preferred Qualifications •Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design •Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
