• Newsweek is looking for a strategic Director of Newsletters to lead our operation to all new heights. • This leadership position directly oversees our team of newsletter producers and will partner with the core newsroom as well as our sales team. • Develop and implement a comprehensive newsletter strategy aligned with our editorial vision and business objectives. • Monitor and analyze newsletter performance metrics. • Collaborate with editorial teams to create compelling, high-quality content that drives engagement and retention. • Develop and execute strategies to grow newsletter subscribers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing newsletter operations or digital content strategy in a media organization. • Proficiency with email service providers (ESPs) such as SailThru, Mailchimp, or similar platforms. • Strong understanding of newswriting, content principles and audience engagement. • Proficient in using analytics tools to measure performance and drive data-informed decisions. • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with editorial, marketing, and product teams. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
