•We are looking for a Senior Technical Level Designer to join our team. •Responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining system design elements, tools, and workflows. •Collaborate closely with various teams across the studio, including Production, Art, and QA. •Drive the technical aspects of level design, ensuring integration of design and functionality. •Implement gameplay scenarios using the existing toolset. •Maintain a big picture of all connected features used by the department. •Work directly with programmers, game designers, and artists to create essential tools and solutions. •Assessment of designs, game features, and pipelines. •Assist with prototyping and production of technical elements for game features. •Test new features and tools before deployment. •Ensure Level Designers comply with official metrics and technical standards. •Review blueprints by team members for optimization or bug reduction. •Implement prefabs that are easy to use, configure or adjust by team members. •Assist with debugging and bug fixing, and maintain project documentation.
•Typically 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in a technical designer position, with at least one shipped PC or console AAA title. •Proficient with Unreal Engine Editor. •Technical background with experience in scripting languages and a solid understanding of programming paradigms and concepts. •Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 with full working proficiency in Unreal Engine Editor. •Experience in developing multiplayer or co-op titles, with an understanding of replication and network communication. •Expertise in performance profiling and optimization. •Debugging experience, with high problem-solving skills and a strong internal drive to understand how systems work. •Ability to work independently without micro-management while adhering to schedules. •Strong understanding of creative and game development processes. •Self-motivated with good mentoring skills. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. •Experience with multiple different 3D engines •Experience in design of tools and workflows •Interdisciplinary experience, generalist approach, modding experience •Knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max or similar 3D package
