Description

• The Business Development Specialist is responsible for proactive outbound calls. • Develop and maintain business partnerships with various customers. • Conduct pre-call research to anticipate customer needs. • Solicit competitive intelligence information from customers. • Schedule follow-up inquiries to progress the sales cycle. • Enter and maintain data integrity in company CRM software programs.

Requirements

• Requires a demonstrated history of successful consultative selling skills. • Broad training in sales, marketing, business administration or similar fields. • Completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. • Normally requires three plus years of directly related sales experience. • Experience in the animal health industry is highly desirable. • Ability to influence purchasing behaviors through cross-selling and up-selling. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Good analytical and mathematical skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
