Description

• Oversee the programming and maintenance of music content. • Troubleshoot operational challenges and ensure audio experience quality. • Collaborate with Content Curation team on media programming and live events. • Master in-house CMS to connect users with media content. • Work with Operations team for monitoring and operational processes. • Analyze metrics and improve operational efficiency.

• Proven record of successfully working cross-functionally within (tech) organization. • Strong appreciation for content curation and content management. • Diligent attention to detail. • Deep customer empathy and fluency to turn user insights into new product programs and features. • Critical thinking and prioritization skills that demonstrate data-driven analysis combined with sound qualitative judgment. • Expressive written and verbal communication with a knack for clear articulation of customer problems. • Tenacity and balance in the face of competing priorities and trade-offs between goals. • Heavy consumer of audio content - news, talk, sports, and music. • Work with a "team first" mentality that is needed to ensure success in the department. • Run commands using ffprobe to inspect audio and radio formats. • Familiarity with audio container formats (e.g., MPEG/TS, ADTS). • Understanding of stream types (e.g., MP3, HLS). • Knowledge of audio encoding concepts (e.g., sample rate, LUFS). • 3-5+ years of professional experience in music content operations or equivalent. • Graduate of an accredited university with a B.A. or B.S., and a strong record of academic achievement. • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. • Experience learning and operating a content management system • Experience managing automation log files from MusicMaster, Powergold, or similar music scheduler. • Experience with setting up and monitoring logs in MusicHub • Ability to run command line tools, lookup ISRC codes, and inspect music files. • Experience working with and managing music automation systems like Rivendell, WideOrbit, PlayoutOne, or similar. • Skills in editing and manipulating audio files. • Experience working with SoundExchange and PRO performance reports, with the ability to review before submission & payment. • Experience in broadcast engineering or as a technical director is a plus.
