Requirements

• Minimum three years’ experience in copy editing, preferably for a digital-first news organization • A commitment to the highest editorial standards of accuracy, clarity, and inclusivity • The ability to work quickly and collaboratively under tight deadlines amid a busy news environment • A sharp eye for mistakes in grammar, spelling, and punctuation • A strong interest in topics The Verge covers, including technology, internet culture, transportation, and science • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; excellent communication skills • Experience in fact-checking, editing data visualization, or performing sensitivity reads a bonus.
