📋 Description

• Ensure reliable execution of the accounts payable cycle — receiving invoices, tracking approvals, recording entries, and making payments; • Prepare and post journal entries so month-end closes run on time, every month, without delays; • Perform account reconciliations (bank, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets) so each close is review-ready on the first pass; • Process and reconcile credit card transactions in Airbase and expense reports so everything is reconciled before close and employees receive reimbursements promptly; • Maintain up-to-date, well-documented financial records in NetSuite so reviews and audit requests never become a last-minute sprint; • Contribute to optimizing and automating existing accounting processes to improve team efficiency, including sustained and responsible use of AI; • Collaborate daily with the team by flagging issues early so review work progresses without bottlenecks.

🎯 Requirements

• Accounting education (university or college) — CPA designation not required; • 2–3 years of general accounting experience, including active participation in month-end closes (GL, AP, reconciliations); • Experience with the expense and accounts payable cycle; • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas) and experience with a cloud accounting system — NetSuite is a plus; • High level of rigor, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills in daily task execution; • Proactive, team-oriented, and able to flag issues early without creating bottlenecks for peers; • Comfortable with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) and accustomed to actively using them to work more efficiently day-to-day.
