📋 Description

• Reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and ensures accounting for loan receivable balance is in accordance with GAAP • Designs and executes financial controls and reporting to ensure timely payments and loan adjustments • Develops and implements internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets • Processes payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire transfers) and applies them to customer accounts • Reconciles customer accounts, investigates discrepancies, and resolves billing issues • Identifies opportunities for automation and operational process improvement • Partners with Legal, Compliance and Account Servicing teams on error remediation • Works with external auditors on financial statement and SOC 1 audit

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, or commensurate work experience required • CPA preferred • 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or 3 years of public account experience required • Experience and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP required • Financial industry experience preferred • Attention to detail and accuracy required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite • Proficiency in working with large data sets, preferred • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
