📋 Description

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting function, including bookkeeping, AP, AR across multiple regions • Ensure month-end close is completed accurately and on time, including review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations • Maintain schedules of balances for key balance sheet accounts and ensure ongoing accuracy • Identify and submit statutory returns and filings across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring full regulatory compliance • Enforce company-wide accounting policies, internal controls, and segregation of duties • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed • Simplify existing workflows and design new processes to streamline accounting operations • Leverage automation and AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of close, reconciliation, and reporting activities • Provide accurate, timely management reporting and balance sheet analysis to the Director of Finance and leadership • Collaborate with Payroll, Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to support cross-functional financial workflows • Help shape and execute financial process improvements tied to company-wide initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting management role • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month-end close, and multi-region statutory reporting • Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work on own initiative in an ambiguous environment • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with experience using modern AI tools to improve finance workflows • Strong command of English, both written and verbal • Nice to Have: Qualified ACCA, CPA, CIMA (or comparable accounting qualification) • Existing knowledge of US GAAP • Experience rolling out new accounting or ERP software • Background in crypto, blockchain, or fintech industries • Experience working in a remote, distributed, global team setup
