📋 Description

• Deliver on goals spanning a 6-18 month timeframe • Play a key role in defining the roadmap for the next 12 months • Build and design the integrated search platform, written in Java • Leverage product and industry knowledge to provide technical vision and direction • Advise management on roadmap, processes, architecture and design decisions • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams across the company on large initiatives • Influence and grow team members through mentoring, coaching and leading by example • Help cultivate talent through interviewing, mentoring and knowledge sharing • Short-term success: contribute to core "mongot" and Mongo Management Service repos • Mid-term success: work on features to build new infrastructure for Atlas Search • Long-term success: build POCs, design new features, and collaborate on complex projects

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data management systems • Proficient in modern programming languages and techniques • Experienced in developing distributed systems, cloud services and SaaS products • Experienced in designing and maintaining search platforms or distributed databases (preferred) • Experienced in debugging and profiling multithreaded JVM applications and distributed applications (preferred) • Based in Toronto (hybrid working model)
