• You will become the Engineering Manager of the Developer Platform Team, whose mission is to enable software delivery teams to move faster, enhance reliability, security and do so with greater satisfaction • You’ll take ownership of the team's "how”: ensuring that technical decisions support the broader organizational goals, and advocating for the technical investments needed to deliver long-term success • Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the personal development and well-being of your team members • Represent and advocate for the Developer Platform team at leadership level • Closely liaise with the Technical Product Manager to build products that solve real user problems and have a measurable impact on the organization • Lead the development of a platform that abstracts away unnecessary complexity of infrastructure, observability and security, all while ensuring developers still understand the implications of their work • Continuously improve engineering processes, with a focus on automation, quality, and scalability • Tirelessly scrutinize and challenge current and target architectures, to arrive at the leanest, yet adequate software & infrastructure architecture for Developer Platform use cases • Help the team to stay focused on delivering high-impact solutions • Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the Developer Platform
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar role, with a focus on driving technical excellence and team productivity • Extensive experience in Platform Engineering, cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices • Proficient in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Go, TypeScript etc.) • Strong customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of the importance of product thinking when enabling software delivery teams • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and innovative team culture • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advocate for technical decisions and investments at all levels of the organization • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus • Bonus points for: Having worked in a scale-up environment at a company of similar size • Interest in the climate tech industry
