📋 Description

• This is a remote position. • Oracle PL/SQL Developer Location: Remote • Duration: 4+ Months ( 04/16/2025 to 08/31/2025 ) • The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project. • This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience, along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procs and views. • The developer will also devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, and provide ongoing updates on project status. • This position works for section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). • Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases. • This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas’s 1200 school districts. • Expertise working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (advanced concepts such as bulk collect, handling data in JSON/XML format) • Expertise with writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage • Proficient in storing, querying, manipulating JSON data in Oracle database tables • Proficient in creating complex queries and views using data stored in JSON format • Proficient in optimizing performance of stored procs and views accessing data stored in JSON format • Documentation • Dev/Unit Testing • Participate in Agile development
