Description

• 540 is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to develop a data transformation and workflow solution for an impactful part of the U.S. Army. • You will deploy and operate a replacement for a legacy financial system to the cloud, and innovate new cloud-first solutions for the U.S. Army’s data management ecosystem. • This role is responsible for the data pipeline cloud components, security, governance and overall successful delivery of working software. • You will work with multiple teams on problems that require architectural thinking and programming skills to design the system. • This role will also be responsible for communicating data design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels and putting in place practices and procedures to deliver a high-quality, tested, and secure product.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience • Well-versed in Python • Experience building and managing data pipelines • Experience consuming data via APIs • Hands on experience with AWS cloud services • Experience with GitLab • Experience building dashboards using PowerBI and/or similar data analytics tools • Experience working via the terminal / command line • Hands on experience using Jira and Confluence
