📋 Description
• Code medical records to validate ICD-10-CM codes for Risk Adjustment • Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation • Meet customer and AAPC production and quality standards • Prepare oral and/or written reports of work activity to Project Lead • Be responsible and accountable for maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information. • Follow HIPAA security policies and procedures affecting your job, and report any suspected or actual violation or breach
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of coding and/or auditing Medicare Advantage and Medicaid (full code capture) risk adjustment experience • Extensive ICD-10-CM coding, particularly with Risk Adjustment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to “own” your assignments and see them through delivery • Detail oriented and deadline driven attitude • Ability to think critically and determine the best method for completing tasks • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, EMR systems, Risk Adjustment software, and internet) • Ability to multitask and keep a sense of urgency • Strong time management, organization skills, and work ethic • CPC with CRC preferred
