• The primary role of the Data Scientist in Data Strategy and Analytics is to design, validate, and solve strategic questions addressing business opportunities across the organization using diverse data sources • Manage the creation of mathematical models to deliver business value by leveraging statistical practices and data analysis • Define and implement a clear data science and analytics roadmap for the division • Conduct advanced statistical analysis to provide actionable insights and identify trends • Collaborate with technical translators and develop scalable solutions • Create and implement training concerning analytics policies/compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • 8+ years of relevant experience in the biological data analytics/science in a relevant industrial or academic setting • 10+ years of experience in analytics (preferred) • Strong understanding of data analytics, structured and unstructured data analysis, predictive modeling techniques, and data visualization • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R) • Experience engaging cross-functional teams to build a strong data infrastructure • Outstanding communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
