📋 Description
• Analyze collections and resolve non-payables • Handle bill inquiries for complex issues • Follow up on claim rejections and denials • Process assigned AR work lists in a timely manner • Write appeals to resolve claim denials • Identify and resolve denied billing issues • Recommend accounts for write-off • Report filing rule changes • Check system for missing payments • Annotate patient accounts • Research patient accounts • Review accounts for appropriate follow-up actions • Process appeals and follow up on claims • Respond to insurance company inquiries • Meet established production and quality standards • Perform special projects as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED • At least one (1) year in the data entry field • One (1) year in medical billing and claims resolution preferred • AAHAM and/or HFMA certification preferred • Experience with offshore engagement and collaboration desired • Intermediate level knowledge of medical billing rules • Proficient in the use of billing software within 4 weeks • Ability to read, understand and apply state/federal laws • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities • Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Basic computer skills • Basic Math skills • Strong communication skills • Strong time management and organizational skills • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and database software skills
