📋 Description
• Test Engineering is critical within Engineering, focusing on quality and productivity. • Build and manage a QA team in Costa Rica, ensuring business alignment. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and milestones. • Provide technical guidance to the Test Engineering team in Costa Rica. • Design and automate API and UI testing using Python and open-source tools. • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. • Investigate and implement performance improvements and automation in testing. • Lead testing efforts for Civic Platform products impacting cross-functional teams. • Promote understanding of cultural differences in a diverse work environment. • Establish goals and measurement practices (OKRs and KPIs). • Accountable for successful launches of Civic Platform products, APIs, and mobile apps. • Identify gaps and proactively strategize improvements in testing processes.
🎯 Requirements
• 8+ years of Test Engineering experience. • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline. • Experience collaborating with teams in different countries. • Experience working with product-based companies in a fast-paced agile environment. • Experience architecting testing solutions for highly configured applications. • Knowledge of SaaS-based applications and CI/CD pipelines. • Hands-on experience with open-source automation frameworks and tools. • Experience building enterprise-level test suites and developing test harness solutions. • Experience with Java platforms, API management, and mobile applications. • Strong debugging, monitoring, and optimization skills using JMeter or similar tools. • Expertise in identifying performance issues in J2EE/.NET architecture, databases, etc. • Experience in defining OKRs and KPIs, with strong problem-solving skills.
