β’ Location: Remote (Global) β’ Acryl Data is the company behind DataHub, the #1 open source metadata platform. β’ We are looking for a passionate and skilled Developer Advocate to join our team. β’ Engage actively in the DataHub Slack community by answering technical questions, offering guidance, leading conversations, and fostering positive interactions. β’ Create compelling technical content such as technical blog posts, tutorials, and video content to educate users about DataHub's features, integrations, and best practices. β’ Deliver impactful technical presentations at conferences, webinars, and community events to promote DataHub and the broader metadata management ecosystem. β’ Collaborate with DataHub's product and engineering teams to understand technical concepts deeply and translate them into clear, digestible content for diverse audiences. β’ Identify opportunities to improve DataHub's developer experience and advocate for user needs within the engineering team. β’ Partner with marketing to build campaigns that attract new developers and increase community engagement. β’ Remote first. β’ Previous experience in a Developer Advocate role in the metadata or open source ecosystems. β’ Hands-on experience using DataHub with technical expertise in data engineering and metadata management. β’ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for simplifying complex technical concepts. β’ Proven experience creating technical content such as blog posts, video tutorials, or documentation. β’ Comfortable speaking at events, leading workshops, participating in podcasts, or hosting livestreams and webinars. β’ Experience contributing to open source projects and engaging with technical communities. β’ Empathy and patience to help developers of varying skill levels succeed. β’ Familiarity with data ecosystems (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark, dbt, Airflow) is a plus.
