📋 Description

• Supporting Tidal Basin in Maui/Lahaina, HI. • Provided construction management oversight for the State of Hawaii. • Documenting civil construction and observing time/durations to complete civil work. • Provide inspection and reporting of civil work performed at the Ka La’i Ola project. • Scope: Review documentation required by contract, the State of Hawaii, and Maui County expectation for civil construction scope of work. • Implement an inspection program to ensure that fabrication/construction/installation is performed according to plans and specifications. • Assist project teams with the review of all key civil project documents. • Support project meetings and communicate the status of progress and assigned tasks. • Support communication of regular updates on the civil project execution plan and schedule including engineering, procurement, and construction activities. • Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts. • Monitor civil construction performance against project milestones, and other established metrics. • Inspect civil works including roads, village site services including water, sewer, and power to ensure compliance with design documents and specifications. • Coordinate with cost engineers and estimators, project scheduler and the QA Lead to report issues, findings and collaborate to share information to benefit the project. • This includes developing a Quality Assurance Plan based on contract/state expectations to ensure the end products comply with the quality standards established in the contracts. • Identification of issues associated with civil construction or installation that could impact the tenant occupancy of the temporary housing units will be identified early and not create a condition, where occupancy is expected but subsequently is granted based on documentation or installation that does not meet requirements. • Deliverables: Provide Quality Assurance reports on a daily basis. • Daily project completion checklist.

🎯 Requirements

• Construction experience – 5 to 7 years on site experience. • Ability to be onsite in Maui for the entirety of civil works, as required by project scope. • Must wear personal protective clothing (steel toe shoes, safety vest and safety glasses) at all times. • Must have effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; problem-solving techniques; ability to take direction. • General understanding and ability to use Bluebeam and Onscreen Takeoff. • Microsoft Office suite; strong excel spreadsheet analysis and strong writing skills to support development of daily reports. • Familiarity with construction processes, project contracts, engineering practices, construction techniques, civil construction. • Strong attention to detail; focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of work; high degree of integrity and reliability. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and flexibility in terms of assignments. • Customer service oriented. • Functions well within a team environment. • Organization and planning skills. • Problem-solving ability. • Highly motivated and reliable.
