• Lead our International Communications function • Engage directly with executives on major announcements and thought leadership initiatives • Build our international presence leveraging strategic communications • Own Affirm’s storytelling efforts in international markets working with global, regional and local press • Work closely with Affirm’s Revenue team to support and amplify key business achievements and events - including speaking engagements • Develop communications strategy and processes, from organizing speaking opportunities, to proactively securing strategic media coverage as well as crisis and issues management • Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with business press, consumer media, key industry opinion leaders and external stakeholders
• 10 years of experience working in corporate communications and/or media relations for a global brand, with expertise in managing international markets, preferably for a high-profile public company in the technology space – either in house or on agency side • Proven record of pitching and securing strategic media coverage and managing nuanced issues • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills • Experience managing agencies, and putting in place scalable processes • Experience doing scenario planning and crisis communications • Ability to translate marketing objectives into communications strategies and plans • Experience in B2B and B2C communications would be preferable
