Description

• Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly. • Looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer in the Furnishing Platform team to build scalable systems. • Partner closely with Product, Compliance, Servicing, and Credit teams to design robust reporting systems. • Systems vital for delivering accurate and timely data from Affirm’s financial products. • Help build a beloved, lasting financial services brand predicated on honesty and trust. • You will own and deliver quarterly goals for your team and lead engineers. • Support operations and availability of team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics. • Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review standards and improving them. • Help develop team talent by providing feedback and guidance. • Participate in on-call rotation as a requirement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience of developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue. • Proficient in working with Javascript/Typescript. • 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin. • Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes. • Total of 4+ years of experience as a software engineer. • Experience in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes. • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue. • Experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple and extensible design. • Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base. • Demonstrated ownership of growth, seeking feedback from team. • Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with global engineering team. • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
