β€’ Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. β€’ The Trust and Safety Experience team owns all customer facing components of the Trust & Safety Platform and supports the user interfaces for Affirm Products like Card, Savings, Prequal, Checkout, User Portal and Repayment flows across various geographies. β€’ This team is responsible for building the User Experiences for sign in / signup, authentication, fraud detection & mitigation flows and creating backend APIs to deliver the Identity and Fraud decisions for users who come through various platforms (Web, iOS, Android) and entry channels. β€’ The Trust and Safety team is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated full stack Staff Software engineer to provide technical leadership and drive major engineering initiatives with wide impact across many teams.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ You have a total of 8+ years of experience as a software engineer. β€’ You are proficient in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes β€’ You are proficient in developing web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue β€’ You have experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality in a system through the definition of a technical and execution plan. You write high quality code that is easily understood and used by others. β€’ You thrive in ambiguity, and are comfortable moving from low level language idioms all the way to the architecture of large systems to understand how they work. β€’ Your growth and impact trajectory demonstrates that you have mastered gathering and iterating on feedback from your engineering and cross-functional peers. β€’ You have strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team.
