📋 Description

• Afresh is on a mission to eliminate food waste and make fresh food accessible to all. • The Product Engineering team at Afresh is responsible for building and maintaining the suite of products that our customers use every day. • Grocers rely on these solutions within Afresh’s Fresh Operating System to improve the accuracy and efficiency of their workflows. • You will play a crucial role in building and optimizing the data infrastructure, data products and APIs that power these solutions. • Some of your responsibilities will include contributing to complex cross-functional projects focused on data pipelines and application performance, collaborating with teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience, building and maintaining data pipelines, and optimizing APIs and data architecture.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience • 2+ years experience with data and backend experience • Experience contributing to complex projects as part of a team • Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality code • Solid understanding of API development principles and good API design, with a focus on data efficiency. • Collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn and take direction. • Problem-solving skills with an interest in tackling challenging data-related issues. • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, startup environment. • Familiarity with Python, SQL, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript preferred, with a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas, particularly around data manipulation and optimization. Experience with dbt is a plus.
