Description

• Staff Developers are T-shaped and operate broadly at a high level across technical areas but can also dive deep into specific areas and teams when needed. • Experiment and drive new, and changes to existing, system architectures. • Coach and mentor the engineering team. • Lead cross-functional technical projects, building and reviewing architectures on various teams, and coaching and mentoring the engineering team. • Set and drive coding standards, technical processes, and tooling across engineering. • Balance quality, stability, and project delivery while working on multiple projects from start to finish.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional SaaS architecture and development experience, having lead teams to successful outcomes • Previously held a Staff Developer or higher level title • Deep experience working closely with Backend engineers and UX/UI Designers to plan, design, and implement frontend system architectures and features • Deep experience with frontend performance best practices, tooling, and monitoring • Mastered React and Typescript and have mentored engineers in both • Expert at translating company objectives into technical delivery milestones • Set a high bar for quality and hold yourself and other engineers accountable to it • Exceptional at unblocking engineering teams to keep things moving
