Description

• Define, measure, and improve the quality of trips for hosts and guests. • Develop models, conduct causal analysis, and design experiments to transform Airbnb's strategy and product for Quality. • Develop quality measures to empower merchandising and search ranking. • Partner with engineering teams to build Airbnb’s quality measurement foundation. • Provide technical mentorship to other data scientists, guiding them through advanced modeling and inference tasks.

Requirements

• 8+ years industry experience in Data Science. • Background in economics, statistics, and experimentation. A PhD in economics or a related field is valued. • Deep understanding of causal inference, machine learning, predictive modeling, and data-driven product development. • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change in a cross-functional environment. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and translate detailed results into a compelling narrative. • Proven experience in developing and implementing data-driven strategies to address complex problems and improve business outcomes. • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
