📋 Description

• Alcanza is a growing multi-site, multi-phase clinical research company with a network of locations in MA, NH, MI, VA, SC, FL, GA, AL, MO, TX and Puerto Rico. • The Corporate Controller will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting and analysis, budget leadership, financial controls, insurance, payroll, and data management. • The Controller will manage a team of Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Cash Application specialists. • In addition, the position will contribute towards an audit-compliant system of internal controls and processes that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared on a timely basis, in compliance with US GAAP.

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred AND 8+ years of related accounting experience AND 5+ years of management experience, OR and equivalent combination of education and experience is required. • CPA required. • Must have demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis. • Must have proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills. • Experience working in a clinical research site or CRO environment is preferred. • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, and web applications and the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm). • Strong team leadership skills and ability to develop and mentor direct reports. • Strong organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, and math proficiency. • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. • Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to work independently as well as with co-workers, subjects, managers, and external customers. • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities. • Ability to be professional, respectful of others, self-motivated, and exemplify a strong work ethic. • A high degree of integrity and dependability. • Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions. • Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with privacy and company guidelines.
