Description

• Join our dynamic team as a Senior Product Engineer (React/Java) driving the development of cutting-edge Consumer Engagement Management Ecosystem Software within the Affordable Simple Connected products at Allstate. • You'll own the end-to-end development of backend services, with occasional involvement in frontend components. • Your role is pivotal in ensuring product agility, quality, and user satisfaction. • As a key decision-maker, you'll champion simplicity in technology and design choices. • The Senior Product Engineer (React/Java) architects and designs their digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of computer science concepts, object-oriented design principles. • 3 plus years of hands-on software development experience with Java and J2EE technologies such as Spring Boot. • Strong on REST API’s including tooling for documentation (Swagger), versioning, service discoverer/registration and testing and familiarity with microservice architecture is required. • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, and/or Angular. • Utilize continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, preferred tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Groovy, SonarQube, Gradle, Maven, etc. • Utilize containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker for deploying and managing microservices. • Ability to mentor/coach team members. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Practical cloud knowledge with technologies such as AWS, or other cloud technologies and application programming monitoring tools. • Understanding of No SQL such as Mongo.
