Description

• Support ongoing development of Altruistiq’s calculation engine and emission factor database. • Lead research projects to identify and evaluate new data sources for emission factors. • Contribute to developing the Calculation Engine, introducing new methodologies and product features. • Lead processes to import new emissions data into the Emission Factor Database. • Conduct research into new carbon accounting standards and develop briefing notes.

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English skills, as the primary language of communication within the company is English. • Strong data skills and a passion for sustainability. • Proficiency in using data tools for data management and analysis (e.g. MS Excel, Google Sheets, Alteryx, Metabase, Tableau). Ideally knowledge of coding languages for data analysis (e.g. Python, R). • Track record of working with and analysing sustainability data, such as Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) or Emission Factors (EF). • Relevant degree or experience relating to sustainability, with a foundational understanding of how to calculate Greenhouse Gas emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3, LCA) aligned to the GHG Protocol/ISO Standards. • Strong ability to summarise and present complex sustainability topics clearly. • Process-driven, able to follow and refine clear processes with minimal supervision.
