Description

• We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer who specialises in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure systems. • This role will involve setting up systems from scratch with a focus on reliability, availability, and security. • You will play a key role in our DevOps team, driving our cloud strategy, enhancing observability, and ensuring the seamless operation of our data replication and archival processes. • Design, implement, and manage AWS MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka) and Confluent Kafka environments. • Build infrastructure from scratch, focusing on the reliability, availability, and security of cloud-native applications. • Implement monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch to ensure high availability and performance of services. • Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, ensuring quick and reliable deployment of applications and services.

Requirements

• Proven experience with AWS MSK/Confluent and Kafka. • Strong expertise in multi-cloud environments, including public and private cloud hosting. • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch. • Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Docker. • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. • Experience with data replication, data archival, and managing large-scale data pipelines. • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and system management. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and security. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Preferred Skills: Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or other relevant technologies. • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
