• This role is part of the Amcor Rigid Packaging North America Accounting Shared Services team. • Reports to the Sr. Manager, Inventory and Cost Accounting. • Analyze raw material costs, monitor inventory, and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights that drive cost efficiency and profitability. • Analyze cost impacts of price changes. • Monitor fluctuations in raw material prices and assess their impact on overall costs. • Conduct CVP analysis to understand the relationship between costs, volume, and profit. • Ensure accurate reconciliation of cost-related accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. • CPA or CMA designation a plus. • 3-5 years of experience, including some experience within inventory/cost accounting in a large, complex, multi-location manufacturer. • Strong systems aptitude with preference given to candidates with proficiency with SAP ERP. • SAP BPC and SAP Business Objects experience. • Strong Microsoft office skills (especially MS Excel) required. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong general accounting skills, including a thorough understanding of US GAAP inventory rules and requirements. • Understands financial statement relationships between balance sheet, income and cash flow statements; demonstrated experience developing/modeling financial statements. • Unrelenting integrity and ethics. • Professional with strong overall business acumen. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; effective team player who interacts well with others. • Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure. • Occasional travel (less than 5%).
