• Based in Shreveport, Louisiana, we began in 1996 by offering payroll processing and tax compliance services. • In 2000, we made the strategic decision to develop our own technology. • APS has a mission: to make payroll and HR easier. • We design our unified solution to simplify workforce management tasks for mid-market organizations. • We provide our clients and partners with personalized service and support to accomplish their goals. • Streamline payroll processing, automate HR workflows, and elevate the employee lifecycle with a single-system platform. • We are on the grow again and searching for a Product Manager. • The Product Manager is responsible for the success of the product by maximizing the output of the Development Team within a scrum framework.. • This position is eligible for full remote opportunity for individuals living and working in the states of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas for individuals living out of the local area. • This position will require regular travel if not living in the local area. • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and maintain the roadmap for the product. Contribute to and execute the strategic vision for the product area. Execute all areas of the product lifecycle - ideation, research, validation, user stories, go to market, adoption. Engage with our customers and strategic partners through research and interviews. Work both independently and collaboratively with the product team to deliver valuable solutions to users. Curate the backlog of features and ideas for the product area. Ability to see the big picture - track overall market and competitive dynamics. Act as intermediary between the market and engineering, advocating for the needs of the customers and turning the product vision into reality. Build strong relationships with customer-facing teams and communicate new product features, roadmap prioritization, and product rollout plans. Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher – or the equivalent, preferably in relevant technical fields such as Computer Science, Analytics, etc. • 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a B2B SaaS Agile software development environment. • Strong sense of empathy for users. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with internal and external audiences, adapting to both technical and non-technical audiences with ease. • Ability to think both creatively and critically, drawing insights from observations, and validating hypotheses based on data. • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong planning and organizing skills - able to see the big picture and manage details. • High degree of both technical expertise and business acumen. • Ability to work with people and work as part of a team. • Must be able to work in an environment in which constant deadlines exist. • Must be able to work the hours necessary to successfully perform in this position. • Must understand all company guidelines, procedures, and workflow. • Must be willing to embrace the APS culture which includes respect, communication, teamwork, client focus, continuous change, training and other learning opportunities.
