Description

• Arcadis seeks an experienced Traffic and ITS Design Engineer to join our Louisiana Transportation team. • Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver design projects in Louisiana and throughout the Southeast Region. • Serve as the Engineer of Record for construction plans for the installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems, traffic signals and related aspects of traffic design. • Engage and strengthen relationships with clients throughout project delivery and marketing activities.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of relevant work experience post degree • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana or ability to obtain within 3 months. • Proficient in the design of ITS and Traffic Signal Systems • Relevant design experience in Louisiana. • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer • Understanding of the application of traffic operations principles including ITE, MUTCD, AASHTO, and state DOT requirements, policies, manuals and procedures • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail is critical in the success of this position. • Ability to work well in groups as well as independently.
