Description

• The GIS Database Administrator/Developer will provide daily monitoring and optimization of geospatial databases, working closely with various team members • Highly-collaborative role requiring attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and effective communication in team settings • Responsibilities include SQL Server administration, database optimization, development, design, maintenance of database security, resolving issues, coordination with GIS Developers, design and development of GIS databases, data conversion procedures, and more

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field • 6-9 years experience in database administration and development with GIS experience • Extensive experience in designing and implementing geospatial systems • Strong knowledge of GIS, especially Esri technologies • Experience with spatial databases, data modeling, GIS concepts, relational database administration, and Microsoft SQL Server • Knowledge of cloud database administration trends, especially related to Amazon Web Services
