📋 Description
• Maintain financial records of the firm • Control and review payroll processing system • Manage month-end close process • Enhance operational efficiency of financial reporting • Manage accounts receivables and payables • Provide senior leadership with vital information • Build pro forma financial models • Ensure fiscal integrity through enhancement and management of accounting systems • Lead audit and tax processes • Assist with SEC and regulatory reporting and filings
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field • CPA designation or advanced degree (MBA, etc.) is a plus • 6+ years of prior work experience, specifically as a Controller for a Hedge Fund or Family Office • 4+ years of proven experience in a financial or accounting capacity with a Hedge Fund, Family Office, Investment Management firm or Big 4 accounting firm • Extensive experience with cash and working capital management and forecasting, technical accounting skills, GAAP accounting, and management reporting experience • Strong technical skills, particularly with Microsoft applications (Word and Excel), and proficiency in accounting software or financial applications (QuickBooks, etc.) • In-depth understanding of various financial instruments, investment types, vehicle structures, asset classes, tax regulations and financial covenants • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and able to prioritize with excellent management and supervisory skills
