Description

• Implement policy analysis plans and link policy to scientific evidence • Perform policy analysis in support of cardiovascular care • Identify relevant legal databases, collect and code policies • Analyze policies and provide results, reports, or manuscripts • Advise DHDSP staff on science base underlying policy interventions • Support development of written documentation including codebooks • All work will be accessible to CDC on the CDC computer network

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or related field with 6 years of experience • Master's Degree in Public Health or related field with 4 years of experience • PhD in Public Health or related field with 2 years of experience • Juris Doctorate from a program accredited by the American Bar Association is highly desired, but not required • Ability to anticipate needs and identify work to be done independently • Knowledge of the principles, concepts, methods and the techniques of public health research and evaluation • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing • Two or more years of public health law related experience in a government or nonprofit organization • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word software • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work
