β’ Seeking a Fiber Design Specialist I to design a hyperscale fiber optic network β’ Partner with Network Development Managers to design and plan fiber optic networks β’ Create and maintain detailed network diagrams β’ Identify and signal demand for required orders β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery β’ Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and policies β’ Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and external partners β’ Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in fiber optic design β’ Participate in development of business opportunities
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecom, Computer Science, or related field β’ Minimum 5 years of experience in fiber optic network sales engineering or design, with a focus on both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) β’ Strong knowledge of fiber optic technology, including fiber types, connectors, ILA hut design, and DWDM transmission systems β’ Experience with design software, such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Google Earth, and/or specialized fiber design tools, e.g., ESRI, FiberPlanIT β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including Data Center Project Management, Data Center Networking, Network Planning, Network Development Managers, Network Implementation Engineers, Data Center OSP and Edge Network Services teams β’ Ability to travel 5-10% or as required
