Description

• The Sr. Azure Database Administrator will work as a part of the Cloud Operations team to support both internal and external customers. This person will help modernize existing applications with Azure SQL Managed Instance, migrate on prem systems into Azure data platforms and design, build and optimize Database systems • Additionally, the Sr. Azure Database Administrator will work directly with end clients to support and operationalize Atmoseras’ DBAaaS offering.

Requirements

• Experience in Azure PaaS SQL services including Azure Data Warehouse as well as Azure Data Lake. • Strong experience in migrating on prem SQL systems into Azure data platforms (PaaS & IaaS) • Experience in data migration tools/methods to migrate on prem data to Azure with minimal downtime to applications • Experience in analysis, capacity planning, designing and configuration of Azure SQL DB systems • Experience with BI tools such as Dynamics or Tableau. • Experience with data visualization technologies such as PowerBI and SSIS. • Experience in designing, building and maintaining large scale MS-SQL geographically diverse HA clusters. • Excellent oral and written communication skills; including documentation. • Excellent organizational and time management skills; including tracking of billable hours. • Ability to generate presentation materials suited to many different audiences, i.e. end users, TACC, NOC, Executives, etc.
