• Serves as back-up support to the Coordinator, Internal Control & Compliance: Assisting in providing licensing support for staff • Assisting in overseeing transfer of staff and corporate insurance licenses for newly acquired companies • Assisting in maintaining a complete record of staff licenses and levels, across all provinces • Conducting Quality Assurance reviews, adhering to internal controls • Conducting regular Certificate spot checks • Monitoring and keeping abreast of current legislation and regulations • Serving as resource for staff and clients regarding current legislation and regulations, including tax related procedures
• Minimum 3 years’ experience commercial insurance, consistently meeting internal core competencies • General Insurance Salesperson Level 1 license through the Insurance Council of British Columbia or equivalent license in the individual’s province of residence, with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license or Commitment to obtain Level I license within 6 months of hire • Post Secondary Degree, considered an asset • Experience using EPIC broker management system, considered an asset • CAIB, CIP, CRM or other insurance designations, considered an asset
