Description

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team. • Establishes data architecture practices that are used by data architects, data modelers, and data engineers. • Leads a team of functional, technical, data architects, data engineers to deliver data solutions across MVH business units to product complete models of the data architectures. • Engages with data platforms stakeholders / partners to understand their needs and provide guidance on what DaaS techniques are appropriate solutions. • Evaluate cutting edge technology for data innovation to find opportunities or solutions that help accelerate our DaaS and product roadmap. • Provide leadership to define overall data engineering best practices, data standards, data security and data management. • Mentor junior team members and serve as a role model for data architects and data engineers across teams. • Partner cross-functionally with BI, Data & Analytics, Data Science, and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure we are meeting needs for enterprise-wide data architecture practices. • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.) is required. • Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred. • 10 years of experience in cloud data architecture and data engineering is required. • Extensive cloud data architecture and data engineering experience is required. • Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to lead with influence is required. • Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, Power BI, cloud based data architectures, and Azure is required. • People leadership experience is required. • Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
