• Beam was founded in 2012 by three engineers who modernized the dental benefits industry using technology. • Beam Benefits is available in 40+ states and simplifies a robust suite of ancillary employee benefits through an intuitive digital platform. • Joining Beam Means working in a complex business across insurance and technology in a supportive environment. • This role is for an experienced controller to oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance, and manage treasury activities.

Requirements

• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. • Proficiency with Netsuite (or similar accounting software). • An advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with data query/management tools. • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to tell a cohesive, concise story. • Confidence to consult with and influence senior leaders. • Self-motivated with a demonstrated desire to learn new technologies and skills. • A demonstrated track record of completing large amounts of important work. • A strong attention to detail and well-organized. • Integrity and empathy. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
