• Seeking a skilled Senior Java/Kotlin Backend Developer to assist in handling streaming sports data into Betr systems • Responsible for code quality, scalability, reliability, and performance • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications • Passionate about writing clean, readable code and continuously striving for improvement • Experienced in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in software development processes

Requirements

• 8+ years of JVM coding experience • Expertise with Kafka • Proficiency in more than 1 programming language • Understanding the value of unit tests • Remote work experience on complex problems • Knowledge of database design and SQL • Detail-oriented and able to ensure quality work • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and drive to lead initiatives • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent organizational skills and flexibility • Bonus Points: Experience with Rabbit, Vertx, lifelong sports fan
