Description

• Define a platform for engineering teams to utilize automated, self-service, scalable, efficient, observable, and reliable infrastructure services as a product. • Design long-term technical solutions and cross-team mechanisms to achieve reliability goals. • Provide expert technical guidance and feedback during engineering design reviews to teams onboarding onto Platform Infrastructure using observability tools. • Deliver common, reusable tools, capabilities, and interfaces to the cloud platform solution. • Collaborate with SREs and senior engineers across engineering organizations on best practices. • Align and help drive execution of the Platform Infrastructure team’s strategy. • Reduce toil (automate, automate, and automate some more).

Requirements

• You have designed and built enterprise-ready cloud-native platforms - and relish the idea of doing it again. • You are passionate about researching, implementing, and managing solutions to build a cloud-native platform. • You hold high standards, continuously raise the bar, and drive your teams to deliver high-quality products, services, and processes. • You simplify and encapsulate complexity to empower your development teams. • You know how to balance speed and risks; you make decisions based on data. • You understand that observability is crucial and have metric dashboards that prove it. • You dream about new ways to optimize cloud infrastructure.
